Johanna Nuding is an entrepreneur, a cannabis business concierge, and educator based in Oakland, CA, with twenty years of experience building brands and engaging consumers in professional sports, media, real estate, concert and lifestyle tours. She’s served the cannabis industry and community for five years through her edutainment platform, Casually Baked, where she showcases the education, research, and science of contemporary cannabis.
Jo’s weekly “potcast” is in its fifth year and highlights the responsible side of plant medicine through conversations with her network of cannabis scientists and researchers worldwide, heritage and regenerative farmers, military veterans, makers, wellness practitioners, and cannabis industry leaders building the nascent legal cannabis and hemp industries in North America.
Dr. Monica Vialpando is a pharmaceutically trained product development scientist with an expertise in the formulation of poorly water-soluble compounds. Monica also comes with over a decade of inhalation development experience of pharmaceuticals and smoking cessation products, where she was directly involved in the testing, regulation and implementation of the Tobacco Products Directive in the United Kingdom. Dr. Vialpando leverages this uniquely specialized background to advance the next-generation of cannabis products through Via Innovations’ fit-for-purpose technology selection.
She draws creative inspiration to Via Innovations from her perspective as a hispanic woman, yoga teacher and experience gained from living in five countries. She currently serves active scientific advisory roles to MAZAKALI, gofire and is an adjunct professor at Loyalist College, Ontario. Dr. Vialpando is a frequently invited industry speaker, recipient of the El Sohly Award for ‘Excellence in Cannabis Chemistry’, listed as ‘Top 100 Healthcare Leaders’ by the International Forum on Advancements in Healthcare and included in the Cannabis Scientist’s Power List for 2021.
